Known for his film, video installation, and photography, Yang has been a practicing artist in China since the 1990s. His work has been featured in international biennales such as Sydney Biennale (2010), Aichi Triennale (2010), Shanghai Biennale (2010), Venice Biennale (2007), and Documenta 11 (2002). In 2011, he held solo exhibitions at Centro de Arte Contemporaneo Wilfredo Lam, Cuba; Espoo Museum of Modern Art, Finland; Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation, Australia; and Parasol unit foundation for contemporary art, UK.

Curatorial Process and the One World Exposition: A Conversation with Isaac Leung

To welcome in the new year and to the mark the end of the One World Exposition, Diorama Projects presents a special talk with Isaac Leung, co-curator of the event along with Li Zhenhua, to be followed by a reception. Generously hosted by Spring, the event will also be a final opportunity for viewing Yang Fudong’s multiscreen video installation The Fifth Night (2011). Isaac Leung will share his thoughts and experiences as co-curator of the One World Exposition on the closing of the event. In conversation with Davina Lee, Leung will discuss the curatorial process surrounding the event and the intention through the One World Exposition to provide a "grounded platform to problematize the existing paradigm of (media) art".
